Mrs. Lucy Gibson dies; services to be here Friday
Mrs. Lucy Gibson, a long-time resident of Mullen, died Monday at a Henderson, Nevada hospital. She had been making her home at Boulder City, Nevada. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m., from St. Joseph’s Episcopal church at Mullen. The body will lie in state from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Gibson was a charter member of Winifred Chapter No. 292, O.E.S., at Mullen and a member of the Episcopal church. She is survived by two sons: Barney of Boulder City and John A. Jr., of Mullen; a daughter, Jeffie DeFusco of Phoenix, Arizona; Two brothers: Carl P. Jeffords of Seneca and Jack Jeffords of Cloride, Ariz.; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Humphrey of Mullen.

Funeral services for Lucy M. Gibson, 73, who died Monday in Henderson, Nev., will be held Friday at Saint Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Mullen with the Rev. Royce Brown officiating. She was born March 31, 1894 in Broken Bow and was a longtime resident of the Mullen community before making her home with her son, Barney in Boulder City, Nev.
Survivors include her two sons, John, Jr. of Mullen, Barney of Boulder City, Nev., one daughter, Mrs. Jessie DeFusco, Phoenix, Ariz., two brothers, Carl Jeffords, Seneca, John Jeffords, Chloride, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Clara Humphrey, Mullen, and 8 grandchildren.
Her remains will arrive here tonight. Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery, Mullen, with the Adams-Swanson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
