Ryan and Abby stopped by today and we all had lunch and a nice trip to the park. The boys had a blast playing together.

Henry Doorly Zoo
We were in Omaha yesterday for the wedding of my cousin, Cody Bain. We had decided to stay that night and go to the Henry Doorly Zoo the following day. Much to the surprise of everyone, I have never been to the Henry Doorly Zoo, so we thought it would be a fun outing. We had called the Jacobsen’s to see if they would be around this weekend, and they met us at the zoo bright and early. It was a hot day and Lee was a little scared on some of the displays, but all in all it went really well.

Lee & Julian had a good time playing today. Lee especially liked the sandbox.
Weekend at Dad’s
We made a trip to the eastern part of the state this past weekend and saw quite a few people en route. We stopped and saw the Jacobsens and had lunch at Isles (nothing better than a Leaning Tower!) Then we saw Bonita (a previous colleauge at Northeast High), then we stopped and saw Lavingtons for a bit, all on our way to Dad’s house. While there Lee got a chance to meet Dad’s cat, Buster. It was a long weekend, but it was really nice to catch up with everyone.
Jacobsen’s Visit
On a whim we got a text from Ryan & Abby Jacobsen this morning wondering if we were up to anything today. They came down and we all went out to lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s, then we all ventured out to Yanney Park. Lee slept a good portion of the time, but Julian really enjoyed the park! It was great way to spend a gorgeous afternoon.
